Oversized paddle

As the name implies, these paddles increase the blade surface area to provide additional traction.

Our Greenlandic paddles have been evolved to improve sea kayaking

With these paddles we will have safer and more effective responses in all maneuvers and skiing. The optimum degree of flexibility of a Greenlandic paddle provides us with a great shock absorber that preserves our muscles and joints.

The Greenlandic paddles have a very comfortable and ergonomic grip, with which we will always have our hands well positioned. We can maintain with them a great cruising speed without great effort.

And what’s more, they’re beautiful – what more could you ask for?

Structural reinforcement tips
All Nautilus paddle tips are made of hardwoods and include an internal beech wood reinforcement glued with epoxy adhesive.
Canadian red cedar
The wood of Canadian cedar (Thuja Plicata), is ideal for this work: light, does not rot, but strong enough and with an ideal elasticity.
The ideal weight
Finished Nautilus paddles weigh between 700 and 850g, depending on the density of the plank and whether or not it is reinforced with other harder woods.
Tung oil finish
The standard finish for Nautilus blades is Tung oil for its excellent properties and ease of maintenance.
Packaging and shipping
All our paddles are shipped in wooden packaging and textile cover. The shipping price is 20 € for Peninsula and 25 € for Balearic Islands.

Nautilus paddles can be divided into two categories, which correspond to two different types of construction.

Laminated

Manufactured by joining several cedar strips of different shades and some paulownia wood details. The laminate is made by pressing with epoxy adhesive and they are structurally somewhat stronger than their non-laminated sisters.

Not laminated

Made from a single piece of Canadian cedar with a perfect grain orientation and total absence of knots. The basic blade is reinforced with hardwood maple or sapele tips depending on the shade of the cedar plank for a nice contrast.

Add your extras:

Lateral reinforcements

Hardwood reinforcements (maple or sapele) on the edges of the blades, which, after the tips, are the areas most exposed to impacts. Glued to the leaf with epoxy adhesive. Add this extra for only 30€.

Structural reinforcement

Hardwood reinforcement (maple or sapele) integrated along the entire length of the blade that gives the blade an extra strength at break with a slight increase in weight (150g approx). Add this extra for only 30€.

Graphite tip

Tips made of epoxy resin and graphite powder that give the racket an extra strengthness to the blows and a different and modern aesthetic. Add this extra for only 50€.

Grip

The carved grip provides an extra traction to our shovel without increasing the surface of the blade. It can be applied on one or both sides of the shovel. Add this extra for only 25€ each side.

Marine varnish

The marine varnish finish gives the blade a spectacular finish and a fantastic resistance to the marine environment and solar radiation. Add this extra for only 50€.

Hybrid paddle

The main difference with respect to a traditional paddle is found in the length of the pole, equivalent to the paddler’s grip with a European paddle. Much appreciated by paddlers who do not want to give up a «European» paleo technique.

Very similar in performance to its sister with shoulders, but in this case the transition between the pole and the blade is carried out by means of a very smooth curve without any type of bump.

Shoulder paddle

The shoulders are a transition from shaft to blade in the form of a slight angle. This grip is comfortable and ergonomic and places our hands in the right place, providing control over the racket and the security of finding the right grip even under water.
