Attuannik en el mar

What is Attuannik?

Attuannik means north wind in the Inuit language, referring to the inspiration that comes from the kayaks greenlandeses.

Attuannik is a kayak of Greenlandic style, that means that it has little volume in its exposed part (dead work), in addition to sharp bilges in its hull. This gives this type of kayak some very specific characteristics, such as the low wind disturbance and very good maneuverability by edging. Making attuannik an ideal kayak for playing with the waves and practicing Greenlandic or roll maneuvers. It is developed to be used with most intermediate to advanced kayakers, allows you to enjoy from a day of surf and waves to 1 or 2 days trips thanks to its good ability to maintain the course, without losing maneuverability. In short, it is a very responsive and agile kayak, without losing the navigation characteristics that a sea kayak needs.

Hybrid paddle

palas groenlandesas
The main difference with respect to a traditional paddle is found in the length of the pole, equivalent to the paddler’s grip with a European paddle. Much appreciated by paddlers who do not want to give up a «European» paleo technique.

Shoulderless paddle

Very similar in performance to its sister with shoulders, but in this case the transition between the pole and the blade is carried out by means of a very smooth curve without any type of bump.

Pala híbrida

La diferencia principal con respecto a una pala tradicional se encuentra en el largo de la pértiga equivalente al agarre del palista con una pala europea. Muy apreciada por palistas que no quieren renunciar a una técnica de paleo “europea”.
